ABOUT
Brett Weller is everything you can expect from an artist that grew up on both sides of the Louisiana/Mississippi border. Shaped by a wide range of musical influences with a spread of self-taught techniques, Weller's music has been best described as featuring a “gumbo of sounds”. He continues to connect with his following through life's challenges in a roux of soul-filled blues, funk, and indie rock. Weller's upcoming solo project draws from the influence of artists like Foster the People, Local Natives, and Vance Joy.
In 2015, Weller released Without a Trace as the frontman for Brett Weller & The Congregation. The indie rock anthem received significant radio play on independent stations across the US. Chances was recorded in 2017 and was the band's first full album released by the Restoration Collective. The singer-songwriter continued to showcase BWTC favorites alongside his wife Anna, providing a unique take on Weller's originals. In 2018, the duo released their classic acoustic rendition of Walking to New Orleans to celebrate the city's tricentennial.
After moving to South Carolina in 2020, Weller has begun working with Atlanta based producer Matt Jackson, tracking a sound unlike anything the artist has released before. Drawing from electronic rock and synth pop vibes, the upbeat tempo provides a fresh canvas to Weller's reverie. Mixed and mastered by Grammy Award winner, Darrell Thorp, the debut single Carolina Sun is a must-have on your indie rock and alternative playlists.
